A group of life convicts mutiny on board a ship heading for a prison colony and make their way to a hundred mile wide inhospitable swamp dominated by quicksand and treacherous water. Before long, rumours of masked bandits robbing nearby caravans and cities start to spread.

After sending two men from the Jungle Patrol to investigate, the secret Commander takes over the case when the patrolmen do not return. But can the Phantom negotiate the dangerous waters on his own and subdue a well-armed band that knows every little path in the impregnable maze by heart?...
