Having arrived at an unknown part of the jungle with Hero, Diana saves a man from being eaten alive by crocodiles as an offering to the Lake God, a sacrilege for which she herself is imprisoned and offered to the powerful Lago.

Having learned about Diana's predicament, the Phantom arrives at the Swembi village to discover that the ruthless god does exist and that it has the power to instantly drown the village and severly punish anyone that stands in its way...
