It is not often the Phantom gets showered in petals by the Bandar when he returns to the Deep Woods. Maybe this time it is because he has been in the States battling organised crime for no less than 10 (comic) months (see D096 The Satchel, D097 The Crime School, and D098 Deadman's Point).

But his homecoming is not a happy one: ruthless hunters are indiscriminately killing and capturing animals, and a wounded Joomba (Rex' pet elephant) is terrorising the whole jungle. The Phantom must confront a berserk Joomba alone with little hope of sparing the latter's life...
