The story:
Wambo, son of the Wambesi chief, leaves the jungle for agricultural studies in the city, but soon develops an unhealthy addiction to gambling fuelled by the Wambesi gold his father has given to him.

After having lost the whole Wambesi treasure, Wambo belatedly seeks help from the Phantom, who must enter the underworld to retrieve the lost treasure and stop an illegal racket. But the casino boss has a brutal death trap ready for anyone who tries to upset his plans...
