The story:
The archaeologists Dr. Graham and Jones are wrapping up their jungle expedition, which now includes the body of a massive cave monster that sadly died during a dramatic encounter with the Phantom (see D126 The Cavelands).

To everybody's amazement, the 300 lb body disappears without a trace one night, and shortly afterwards the jungle fills with rumours of a ???stone monster?? terrorising villages and animals. The Phantom must once again face this most formidable creature, but this time the hunted is more frightened and deadly than ever...
