The story:
Attending a hastily convened Council of Chiefs, the Phantom watches anxiously as Llongo and Wambesi accuse each other of stealing herds and kidnapping youths, and the Llongo prince interrupting the meeting to reveal that Wambesi have just attacked his village together with two ???grass?? creatures.

Remembering hearing old Mozz telling him about once seeing such creatures in the Great Swamp with ???a devil sitting on a burning throne?? and domesticated crocodiles and snakes, the Phantom has no chioce but to enter the dark and forbidding area...
