The story:
A night-hunting jungle party including the Phantom saves an 11 year old boy called Cecil from being mauled by a tiger. On hearing that Cecil has run away to escape persistent bullying, the Phantom offers to keep him in the Deep Woods during the school vacation.

Cecil is gradually taught how to cope with life in the wild under the Phantom's tutelage, but the dreaded and unavoidable day comes when Cecil must return to his real home and confront his deepest fears...
