The story:
Diana is entertained by a Baron Danton onboard his ship The Seahorse after being persuaded by her mother and uncle to forget the Phantom and respond to advances from other prospective husbands. After an accidental discovery she realises that the Baron is in fact a spy, and is forced to join his organisation or die.

The Phantom rescues Diana, but must return to The Seahorse to apprehend the gang and clear the Palmer name before the trail goes cold. The dramatic finale takes place on Bleak Island, where The Seahorse has stopped for refuelling.
