The story:
The two teenage rulers Prince Rex of Baronkhan and Princess Alicia of Shambad (see D166 Rex: Prince of Baronkhan) struggle to cut through diplomatic protocol in a bid to see each other alone, and decide to secretly meet up in a nearby forest for a night picnic.

Even the visiting Phantom is unaware of the elopement, and has no option but to follow the young lovers' trail when they do not return. In fact, the couple has walked in on an illegal prospecting operation and are in mortal danger...
