The story:
The Phantom and Diana are on their way to the States when a survivor from yet another shipwreck in Melo Straits is picked up. The survivor tells an intriguing tale of mermaids luring his ship onto the rocks, but his story is only taken seriously when he is abducted from a hospital on the mainland.

Returning to the Melo Straits to investigate, the Phantom has no idea what adventures lay ahead, that Diana has followed him into the danger zone, or that both of them will stare death in the face more than once before the mystery of the mermaids can be solved...
