The story:
The discovery of a cowboy hat in the big treasure room prompts the Phantom to relate an unusual story to his family about the 16th Phantom, who once had to travel all the way to the Wild West in order to avert a devastating jungle war between Longo and Wambesi!

At the time, the only way the Phantom could at least postpone any hostilities between the two most powerful tribes was to bring an accused cattle trader before the Chief Council for a fair trial, but his adventures in America would lead to many more unforeseen consequences...
