When two little children get lost in the great swamp next to the Deep Woods, their mother is beside herself with worry. But the children's grandfather is even more worried, having recently come across a huge dragon-like creature in the swamp.

The Phantom is quickly summoned via the talking-drums and is immediately taken aside by the children's grandfather for the whole story. Entering the treacherous swamp on his own, a disbelieving Phantom will soon have reason to revisit his decision...
