Admiring Bengali's Royal Necklace Collection, Diana is the sole witness of a bird stealing the magnificent Black Pearl exhibit. The Phantom rushes to save her, but is himself imprisoned as an accomplice. However, a mysterious "King of Beasts" soon masterminds a spectacular escape for the couple.
