Sandal Singh is the daughter of Dogai Singh, leader of the notorious Singh Brotherhood. She grew up in a hidden palace by the sea, deep in the jungles of Bengalla. Her father wanted a son to take over after him – not a daughter – and he never showed her love. Her mother was also rejected and ended up taking her own life.
When her father was presumed dead, Sandal took over leadership. She transformed the Singh Brotherhood into a modern corporation called Singh Incorporated. From the outside it looks like a respected business, but in secret it still engages in criminal activity. She always has her bodyguard Belim nearby.
After Lamanda Luaga resigned as president of Bangalla, Sandal managed to be elected as the country’s new leader. At the same time she secretly worked to undermine the neighboring country of Rodia – for example by sending plutonium there to create international unrest. When the civil war in Rodia began, she chose to support the government while ignoring the rebels.
Her relationship with the Phantom has always been complicated. From the first meeting it was a kind of love–hate relationship. She poisoned him and kissed him, and later knocked him down – and kissed him again. As president she dreamed of a romantic relationship with him, and once in the jungle she used a love potion to seduce him.
Sandal had a son and claims that the Phantom is the father. She wants to raise the boy to become the next leader of the Singh Brotherhood.
She lost power after the Bengali Bugle newspaper revealed that Singh Incorporated was using slaves in labor camps. Some time later a passenger plane crashed into the presidential palace – and Sandal was declared dead. But many believe she survived... and that she is planning to return.
