Caroline Weeks and "The Bad Ones"
In the story "The Bad Ones 12-14-64 to 4-17-65," Caroline Weeks, the daughter of Colonel Weeks of The Jungle Patrol, is introduced.

She visits her father at home during a school holiday, though the specific school she attends is not mentioned. Upon returning home, she finds that the town is under the control of a group of gangsters known as "The Bad Ones." Caroline witnesses an assault on a tourist by one of the gang members.

Caroline Weeks is depicted as having red hair and is characterized as curious and willing to investigate the activities of "The Bad Ones." This leads to difficulties for her, and it becomes the Phantom's responsibility to rescue her and put an end to the activities of "The Bad Ones." Caroline also appears in a subsequent story, "Bullets Town 1-3-66 to 5-28-66." After this, there are no further mentions of Caroline Weeks.
The story about "The Bad Ones" is notable for its strong narrative and detailed artwork. During these years, Lee Falk wrote several compelling stories, and Sy Barry's illustrations enhanced them. The story places significant emphasis on The Jungle Patrol and the Phantom's collaboration with them. It also highlights the Phantom's use of fear and his mark to intimidate wrongdoers in the urban environment at night.
