The story:
In the beginning of the Johnny Hazard Sunday run, only gags running for one Sunday page were used.
This gave the author an opportunity to concentrate on comic relief in the face of a world war that was still raging and a steady stream of gags that, whilst never far away from the continuous strips and Sunday pages in the years to come, dominated the JH Sunday output for the best part of a year...
