The story:
Continuing their long and arduous journey back from Kilhar Pass (see S008 Castle in the Cloud and S009 The Ismani Cannibals), the Phantom and the Marshall sisters hit the Oolan River, where more trouble occurs: slave traders capture the sisters to sell them on at a handsome price at a nearby slave mart.

The Phantom is quick to pick up the trail, and before long the clues point to the hidden city of Ibn Hamid Sand, better known as Hamid the Terrible, an absolute ruler of a magnificent kingdom who has never been seen in public. The Phantom must enter this mysterious lair, where new twists and turns constantly force the plot in unexpected directions...
