The story:
Whilst the Phantom is away, an ancient 5,000 year old goddess suddenly rises from the ashes to lead the Mesabi tribe to riches and glory by way of banditry, looting and slave-raiding. The whole jungle lives in fear of the goddess and her high seer who interprets and relays her commands to the faithful; only the feared Bandar refuses to recognise the goddess as the new and undisputed ruler of the jungle.

Returning to confront the new threat, the Phantom discovers that two mysterious white men are colluding with the native high seer, but his deliberations are interrupted when he is taken captive and is taken to be sacrificed alive into the flames of the Fire Goddess....

Watch out for:
• The Phantom’s white skull bird
• A death-defying dive into the goddess’ sacrificial pit
• A vicious battle with ’Evil Eye’
